Has there been any discussion about changing our hitting philosophy? Seems we are using a “Wolfpack” philosophy of trying to attack pitches looking for bombs. Many people think Batting average is an old metric, so people look at slugging and OBP… Not very good at any of them, same for stolen bases. We steal bases about the same clip as Tenn, we certainly aren’t Kentucky, but AM had 50% more bags stolen.
You report about how great these recruiting classes are and these kids have multiple offers, so is it a philosophy problem or we just miss on the majority of players we sign?
