What were your thoughts on the Hugh Freeze hire when it happened. Has he exceeded the ceiling you thought he had at the beginning? Just wondering what you guys thought of the hire and where you see the ceiling ending up.
My initial impression of Freeze was honestly made up of the corn pone portrayal in the Blind Side. So, initially, they were bad. I had and have no inside knowledge of the program and certainly didn't know anything about his role in the Orgeron regime. Once he became the leading candidate, that lockerroom speech from an ASU game that was posted just blew me away. I had no idea he was that kind of coach and motivator.
From a "non-fan" perspective, what do you think of the job he has done and is doing? How is he getting recruits like this to turn their heads when no other coach in 50 years (50 years) has come close? Do you think he stays? Is the new chancellor a huge deal concerning Freeze?
