There were rumors in college basketball circles that the former Illinois standout turned down $1.2 million from both Louisville and Arkansas. Most people thought he was insane. Lo and behold, the guy gets even more from Kansas State. I’m just blown away. I obviously do not understand this phenomenon. I don’t know that I’ve ever been more wrong about something than I have been in NIL/Pay-for-play for college athletes.
