Concerning the lateral...

Some rebs fans are saying the 4th & 25 play should have been ruled a dead ball.

Not so.

Some people are dumb; you shouldn't dignify them with a response. It shouldn't have come to that play in the first place; freeze and his staff gave away their second game of the season by failing to cover the same damned play action to the TE over and over again and letting a 5'8 white kid who runs a 5.1 40 run free through the middle of our secondary.

Ditto. The team was ready to celebrate on 4th and 25. When they made the initial stop, they thought the game was over. The team should have been more aware of the situation.

The one Rebel defender who seemed aware and was doing all he could to stop that play was Elston. Watch his deliberate pursuit of the ball after the tight end threw the ball up for grabs. If everyone on D had pursued the ball with the same energy until the whistle blew, we might have stopped the play or recovered the fumble at the end.

What was Laquon doing trotting across the field? Should have been a flag thrown on that.
You are right....while the ball was in the air ole miss players was seen running on the field with there helmets off. Realized it wasn't over and ran back off the field.
