I was told today that Tim Rowe had a mild injury but should be fine for the weekend. Tweaked hamstring, maybe. Didn't get specifics and wasn't worth bugging Mike over unless he misses extended time which seems very doubtful. Not sure it's even newsworthy but likely kept him out of the lineup last night and I pass along what I hear.
I was told by someone who would know tonight that Joe Gray is dropping in the draft projections for the summer after struggling in wood bat ball this past season. With Gray he won't see enough quality pitching during his high school season to improve his stock, and the past summer didn't go nearly as well as the one before that. My source estimated Gray could be a second-to-third round pick which is excellent news for Ole Miss.
He has a workable hit tool and good athleticism, but he's right-handed and doesn't have elite speed, so teams aren't crazy about giving him premium money. The Rebels may have a lottery ticket cash in a few months.
