Tennessee Tech wins, 6-4, over Missouri State

Tennessee Tech threw its closer 46 pitches and 3.1 innings. He was good but likely he's unavailable tomorrow.

Missouri State can't really hit outside of Eierman, and they have an injury-depleted pitching staff. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bears 0-2 and home after the noon game tomorrow. St. Louis, and obviously Ole Miss, have starting pitching depth.

The second starter for Tennessee Tech is OK. An ERA in the 2s is pretty good in that conference and he has a 3-1 K-BB or better. But nothing plus. Just a good pitcher for that level. All the aces from the other teams will be used by the end of the night, and there's not a lot of depth at all for any of them.

Tech only hit a couple balls hard. Small sample size, and Dylan Coleman has plus stuff, but there appeared to be some issues with velocity up in the zone, and they didn't do a good job with hard breaking balls that started in the strike zone.
