It was a big deal when we missed on both JUCO receivers Quantavious Leslie and Jonathan Rumph in 2013. That was before we committed LaQuon Treadwell. But anyway, Leslie had 1 career catch in two years for LSU, while Rumph had 18 in his 2 years at Georgia. Neither will get drafted. Rumph is rated #134 among draft-eligible receivers this year, a few spots behind Vincent Sanders and our old pal Keiwone Malone. Quantavious Leslie is not even ranked.

Marquel Combs couldn't get into Ole Miss in 2013, so he went to Kansas, where he left before playing a game. He transferred to SELA, where he recorded 13 tackles this year. He is the #65 rated DT. Darius Cummings was committed to us before switching to Florida. He is ranked the #56 DT. Neither will get drafted. Bryon Bennett is ranked #31 and Lavon Hooks is unranked.

In the 2011 recruiting class, most people would have taken Floyd Raven and Jermaine Whitehead over Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt. Whitehead could get drafted, being the #14 FS, but Raven won't as the #28 FS. Cody is the #1 FS and is projected to go in the 2nd round. Senquez is the #16 corner and is expected to go in the 4th. Former commit Gerrod Holliman is the #4 FS and his high school buddy Andrew Johnson is the #89 CB. Meanwhile, Jalen Collins from Olive Branch is the #6 CB and could sneak his way into the first round. LSU got on him really early and locked him down.

Researching all of this really helps ease the pain of our finish in recruiting. While looking at nfldraftscout.com, I kept seeing so many 4-5 star guys at the bottom of each positions list.
