Excited about opportunity to go to Florid and play a really good football team. These games test you. Environment tests you. They are well coached and confident. Top 25 in national. Tests you in a lot of ways. Credit again to Derek Mason and Vanderbilt. They are doing well in a lot of areas. He's a quality individual we need in coaching. We have things we need to improve on. We'll address that this week. We'll hopefully get kids healthy and get ready to go.

I think society keeps you from pinching yourself about where we are right now. We started this journey three seasons and four games ago and I wouldn't promise anyone anything that we could get done other than fanatical effort and great attitudes. We tried to make the program relevant. The temptation when you want something so badly, sometimes we can get obsessed to that and steal some of the joy from the journey. I have to remidn myself everyday that I have a purpose and a calling and I don't have to second guess what that is -- it's to love God and help people. I know my coaching platform. We are relevant right now. It's a long season, but I know right now that we are relevant.

Tight end routes gave us problems against Vandy and we have to get that corrected. We weren't on the same page sometimes. We made bad calls. It was a combination of things. You can't let that happen as many times as it did the other night. We miss Tony Conner. We have to move on.

Jim McElwain said we didn't have regard for him, but we definitely do. He's doing a great job. I'm sure he has a reason for saying that, but we hold them in high regard.

Opposing teams are getting rid of the ball faster than in the past. There's also a lot of max protection. We are collapsing the pocket a good bit, but teams are getting it out quick for the most part.

Would love to get Justin and Rod and Laremy back as soon as possible. They are three of our experienced guys. Justin will try this week. Rod looked better yesterday. We think he can give us 20 or more snaps. We are pushing as hard as we can on Laremy and hope to have him back as soon as possible.

Effort on O-line Saturday was tremendous, but execution was not so good. Vandy gave us looks and did some good stuff. We are really proud of their effort. We have to coach them better and get them more prepared.

We are physically getting Laremy ready. That's been our approach all along. We have to rely on his athleticism other than him getting looks because he won't have seen looks to get him ready. We're moving forward with expectation that he won't play while also having him physically ready.

Like all of the goal line calls the other night except for two. Schematically they have a chance but the other teams plays, too. You have to execute and keep them from stopping you.

We knew in recruiting Robert that he could be an offensive asset. We decided in fall camp we would have a small package for him. We spend five minutes on Wednesday and Thursday learning the package for that week.

Freeze made a recruiting pitch to recruits while asked about Nkemdiche on offense by some NCAA.com reporter on the phone. Freeze said DL should look at Rebels because they will touch the ball too. When asked a follow up, he said defensive linemen can come to Ole Miss and run it. It was funny stuff.

The expectations for Chad are so high that he surprises me when he makes poor decisions. It may be unfair to him, but he will tell you he didn't play up to expectations.

Robert played 70ish plays on Saturday and defense rotated much better. Didn't have a single IV against them. It also wasn't quite as humid.
