Some folks to issue with his comments but sometimes the context is not conveyed as intended. He was a very nice guy and never meant anything to be taken as hostile. His heart was good just not the one that beats for life. Charlie will be missed by fam and friends.

Heart attack. I've made some very good friends on the Rivals message boards and Foe was one of my very best. He was a true gentleman. Loved fast cars and motorcycles.

I met him 15 years ago and he wasn't drinking at all. Not overweight especially but told me of some harrowing heart attacks and something else horrible I'm trying to recall. From the way he talked, I'm surprised he lasted this long , but a true sports fan and gentleman.

A very good guy who was well respected by many on several boards.

We all lost a good one today.

Rest in Peace Foe!

I have rarely, if ever, posted here. I just come to read opinions and see what others are saying. But I always looked forward to seeing the balanced, thoughtful comments from Foe. His words showed him to be a gentleman.

Sorry to hear this. I have enjoyed reading FF's comments for years. He loved LSU as much as we love Ole Miss. I think he had a lot of respect for Ole Miss.

Damn it all!!!!

So sorry to hear. Praying for comfort for his family & friends, as well as his LSU family. Foe was always very balanced and insightful with his comments. Going to really miss him. If I remember correctly, he was absent from the board for quite a while once due to health issues. RIP Friendly Foe!

I will miss Foe as well. He gave good insight and contributed to intelligent debate, good man. Will pray for him and his family.

I didn't know him, never really had any conversation with him on the boards, but read many of his post. Always thought he was a respectful poster and a pretty good guy. I hate to hear of his passing.

He was a great friend. Had we lived closer together we'd been best friends. He was a man's man. Loved fast cars, motorcycles and good looking women.

I had some discussions with him back in the day -- before his health-related absence he'd post quite often. Always respectful, always intelligent. When I saw that he posted, I immediately opened it and read it. His family will be in my prayers.

I enjoyed his posts like all of you. He was very knowledgeable about college athletics and was deserving of his nickname Friendly.

If you want to see a picture, a short obit, and arrangements, use this link. Note that there is a tab titled "Memory Book" where you can leave condolences. Several Rebs have already posted there.

Nice, thank you. It looks like Charlie had put on a few since I saw him last. A great sports fan.

Very sorry to hear that. I always enjoyed reading his posts. God Speed FriendlyFoe.

Sorry to hear this. It's always nice to get the perspective from another team's fan without them trying to start something. I always found him to be fair and cordial on this forum. I will miss reading his contributions.

I hate to hear that, I liked ole Foe....For any of you who know....how old was he? His family will be in my prayers!
