Thanks bobo88. Attended several of the Seminole - Canes matchups in the 80's and '90s, and have very fond memories of those games. Best of luck to FSU the rest of the way!

Just in case any OM fans are interested in hearing thoughts on their team from an outsider:
I was in attendance last night and man..... Hell of a game! FSU played about as sloppy as you could in the first half and we looked unprepared and laxidasical.
FSU came on strong after making a couple simple adjustments on D, and Offense seemed to settle in once they stopped committing so many stupid penalties, and Ole Miss fought back to make it an exciting 2nd half.
A couple quick notes on my impression on OM from someone that was watching without any previous bias;
I was impressed with the Ole Miss WRs and D-Line. WRs played with a confidence that I wish FSU's did. They will be good this year for sure. Chad makes some really really nice throws but also some bone headed decisions at times. Struggles when he has to throw anywhere other than his 1st or 2nd read. I don't remember seeing him going through his progressions to a successful 3rd read once all night. I could be wrong on that and will watch the game once I get home a couple times. He is very talented, has a ways to go in the mental game if he wants to be an NFL player, because he has the physical ability to play at the next level.
That secondary is going to cost you at least one or two more losses this year, and looked to be the weakness of the team. Prepare for some shoot outs this year.
Also I think Hugh is a below average coach from what I watched up close and personal last night (I was 6th row on the 50). He has been successful but that brand of football doesn't win championships.
He doesn't do his defense any favors with that tempo crap he runs that is boom or bust. You are either going to go 3 and out or get a quick TD. As an offense sometimes you just need to get 1-2 first downs, flip field position, and give your defense a rest. With an average defense, you give them no rest or time to make adjustments in the secondary. Going to cost you some games. The defensive line is the strength of the team and they were a non-factor by the 4th quarter because they were completely gassed. You don't have the depth to run that crap and your coach should recognize that. He diminshed his strength (DL) and exposed his weakness (secondary) by doing that. A Head Coach should play better team concept football in my opinion, and dont be so hyper focused on one side of the ball.
I also think completely abandoning the running game in the 2nd half was a huuuuge mistake in his part. When there was zero threat of a running game, we moved our defensive end to DT and he just whipped your slow guard for 4.5 sacks in the 2nd half alone. We couldn't have done that if you're running the ball. Bad coaching decision that really allowed or defense to cause pressure that lead to all those turnovers. Not impressed at all by that coaching staff now that I had a chance to watch them closely. I had a higher opinion of Hugh prior to this game than I do now.
Anyways, had a good time and no negative interactions with Ole Miss fans. Good luck the rest of the year. Kick Bamas ass you you have a good shot at winning the SEC and getting a rematch in the playoff. Doesn't look like anyone else in the SEC west is any good so it's going to come down to that game. I'll be pulling for you guys.

Totally agree with a lot of your observations Red, Hugh has brought a lot of enthusiasm (and controversy) but one thing I have not been impressed with is his in game decisions and adjustments. Never tries to establish the run (were up by three TDs and still don't try) which in turn tires out the defense by the second half. And don't get me started on the D coordinator Wommack...overall the team gave great effort but the staff let them down once again.

In my book OM fans are class act. Def up there with the best group of fans I've ver met as a whole. I had low expectations being that I've met the Auburn, Bama, Gators, Dawgs, and Vols and they as a whole sucked. I'll be rooting for OM in the future for sure.
I thought you guys were right there until the 2nd to last possession. I kept waiting for a screen pass or well designed run. Heck even a designed QB run. The Noles D was vulnerable the whole 2nd half. I can't believe it wasn't even attempted. Hugh froze up. While Chad showed off a truly special talent he also can't be left off the hook for handing away any semblance of momentum. This was a close game and could have gone the other way with just a few diff plays.
I actually was impressed w D and the D coaches. Take away the two TD on the turnovers in 3rd and this D wins the game. The bend don't break was effective. Our kicker made record w 6 FG. Losing your AA corner at start of the game was a big time bummer cause we picked on his replacement all night. That DL you guys have is the truth. Plus you effectively took Dalvin Cook out of the picture. I wouldn't be upset w your D if I were you.
The fact that Chad Kelly had big part of this loss makes his halftime stunt so damn funny. Did y'all see his hitting up our pornstar Mia Khalifa? At HALFTIME!?! Holy chit man I'm that's too funny. Cmon man. Chad is such a douche he thinks he had the Noles beat and then uses halftime to try n hook up w the biggest FSU fan on the planet? You gotta see her Twitter post w Swag getting down in DM during halftime. The way he started the 2nd half just really drives that story home to legendary douche status.

I don't have a grasp on where all the non OM posters are from, but if I had to guess I would say he hails from Auburn. Doesn't FSU have some bad blood with AU?
FSU fan base doesn't really have any hatred towards AU. We find their program humerous at times with their decision making on coaches, and we also their whole Pat Dye situation is pretty laughable. I know Bobby Bowden had an axe to grind with them for how they treated his son Terry and we were all set to run up the score on them and try to beat them by triple digits in 1999, before their boosters decided to buy their way out of that game and avoid the embarrassment.

As an Auburn fan, I always admired Bobby Bowden. He was an offensive inovator and left a long legacy of coaches such as Terry (who mentored Jimbo Fisher) Mark Richt, etc... I also thought Neon Deon was a great talent and an awesome entertainer as well. There are many more FSU players I admired like Charlie Ward, Casey Weldon, Brad Johnson, Danny Kanell, so I have no beef with FSU or its players and coaches.
As far as the 2013 NC goes, they fought hard and came back and won it. That was the closest NC game I've ever seen and it came down to the last one with the ball and a minute or more on the clock. Hats off there too!
The fans, however, are the sorriest on the planet - next to LSU's. Pretty much NW Florida white trash. That's the only beef I have with them. Just plain old fashion sorriness!
To the visiting FSU fans, just ignore him. He is known as one of the worst trolls on the Rivals network, this is what he does and what he lives for. He doesn't even believe this, he's just saying it because he loves the arguing and back and forth. He's left this same post to every fanbase that's come here.

PS: The vast majority of FSU fans are not from NW Florida, or live in NW Florida. The majority live in Orlando, Tampa, South FL (like me) or Atlanta. Because we have degrees and move towards business centers. Florida State actually has the largest distance to his fan base than any other program except ND if you look at the people that attend the games. We are all 4+ hours away from Tallahassee. The white trash that populates rural NW Florida and Pensacola are mostly Bama and Awwwburn fans. Showing your ignorance on your troll attempt there bud.
