We are hearing from a couple places that Kevin Smith may have taken a job at Miami. Frankly, I'd like this to be better sourced before mentioning it, but you want to know what we're hearing, and there's pretty good smoke on this.

Hearing same as Chase, though Smith is in Oxford and has flip-flopped on this previously. However, Smith wants to become a head coach one day and, we're told by sources, views learning from Cristobol more advantageous in that regard than working for Kiffin. Our Miami Rivals affiliate said this morning he has not heard anything is done but that Smith was absolutely the top target for that spot in Coral Gables. As for potential fallout, there is more concern about Quinshon Judkins and Henry Parrish Jr. than there is regarding Zach Evans. Parrish is very close with Smith, and Smith was a massive part of Judkins' decision.
