Baylor went to the Baptist and had the bone scan today. The radiologist or whoever did an initial diagnosis to see if they may need to go ahead and do a CT scan. As I understood the doctor wanted a bone scan with the dye and if it showed a stress fracture then they would do a CT scan to see how bad it was.

Well the radiologist told us that he didn't see anything to warrant really doing a CT scan. He didn't say it but I'm assuming then there was no stress fracture. We go back to Mississippi Sports Medicine on Tuesday for the full results or whatever. I just have some preliminary questions if you don't mind.

1. If it isn't a stress fracture what else could it be? Pinched nerve maybe? Surely not muscle related after a month huh?

2. Do I need to request an MRI?

3. Baylor is begging me to let him start practice and play. School practice has started and while he has been there every morning at 5:30 he hasn't practiced. His coach will use this to bench him. Baylor knows that. He says he can do whatever he has to. He says it's just pain not that he can't physically do anything. So now knowing that it isn't anything bone wise really is there something that he may be risking to play through the pain? Such as a pinched nerve, will it get worse? WTH do you do about a pinched nerve anyway? Like I said before it particularly hurts when he bends back and pushes his hip forward.

4. Any questions or requests I should have for the doctor when I see him on Tuesday?

TIA
