The Republican primary for Senator is today in Ohio where three Republicans candidates are running to see who squares off against theee-term Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown. Chuck Schumer and the Dems have reportedly poured millions into the race to try to nominate the most beatable candidate, Trump endorsed Bernie Moreno. The Governor and Republican establishment are backing Matt Dolan, whose family owns the Cleveland Guardians. Dolan leads Brown in the polls, while Brown beats Moreno, so it’s easy to see why Schumer and the Dems are once again pouring millions into a Republican primary hoping to nominate another Trump backed candidate.

I am a Republican and have made no secret for my disdain for Trump and this is one of the major reasons, as he continually backs candidates in Republican primaries who are unelectable in the Fall, his sole criteria being loyalty to him. He cost us races in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona in the mid-terms and I am very afraid that the combo of his only backing candidates who buy into his stolen election argument and his strangling the funding for Republican candidates to direct all RNC fundraising to his own campaign may be the doom of the Republican Party in November. I understand that lots of you on here love Trump, I just don’t understand why you would rather lose with a Trump backed candidate than win control of the Senate and House?

At any rate, it is really interesting to see that once again Schumer and the DNC are on the same side of a Republican Primary as Trump is. Strange days indeed: you may dislike the Dems, I know I do, but you have to give them credit, as in a lot of cases they are playing Chess while we are still playing Checkers. And Trump is always their ace in the hole, as once again he never considers electability in November when getting involved in Republican primary races.

This is a race Republicans should win, but if we nominate Moreno, we likely won’t-at least, that’s what Schumer and the DNC are betting millions on. It’s amazing how they keep manipulating Republican primaries to their advantage.
