This situation with Ole Miss basketball is just too depressing, as several programs in better shape than us are making moves while we seem stuck in quicksand. I hate the idea of Kermit returning so much that I am trying to come up with a protest that does not involve losing my great seats. But in the meantime, let’s talk some football.
So we need a QB in the 23 Class for sure. We have a legacy who is the #1 recruit in the nation, but I think Neal or whoever said it is right, RG can’t handle that recruitment. I will admit, maybe it’s just a function of having been an Ole Miss fan all my life, but I have a very bad feeling about the whole thing.
On the bright side, I am very excited about Chris Vizzina. I have watched his films and read all his interviews and I think in most years we would be talking about him non-stop. I also think we probably have a much better shot at him than Arch and that he may well decide before Arch. So my discussion question is this: would you promise Chris to withdraw our offer to Arch if Chris commits to us? Personally, I’m all in on that one. I would love to sign Arch, but a bird in the hand is definitely worth two in the bush. And I am honestly not sure Chris won’t turn out as good or better.
