Man, I can remember when I was at Ole Miss and my roomies liked to watch him, and I couldn't stand him b/c I thought he was such a smart arse. Then, one night, a small _scene_ caught my eye as they rolled to a commercial.............. Barney, the big purple dinosaur came out on stage with a spanish conquistador and a big bunny. Letterman grabbed a Louisville Slugger bat and began to bash the face in of Barney. The conquistador and bunny _tried_ to help Barney out, but ended up dragging him down the hall............ my roomies looked at me and I began to just erupt in laughter. Became a fan _that_ night. Never agreed with his political jokes, but - hey - they were _jokes._ Sooooooooooo, tonight we lose a legend..............
