This is not a good match up for our Rebels. BYU plays a fast paced style of basketball and shoots a lot of threes. BYU is not a team you typically want to play a zone defense against, and we all know how well our team plays a man to man. Hopefully the 1-3-1 3/4 trap will force some turnovers, but I don't know that we can drop into our 2-3 zone out of the trap and it be effective. We are going to have to play some man to man or maybe some type of 1-2-2 match up zone.
I was pleased to see the players excited about getting in the tournament after the announcement. Maybe the positive energy will lead to some better play.
