I feel sorry for AK

He can't put the ball through the hoop but maybe some defense and FT practice. I never ever hoped to get to the final 4 but the dance needs to be reached every other year or so. Such a likeable guy and I think great evaluator of talent. He just doesn't have a scorer this year as in past. He doesn't have 3 guys who can add up to a big scorer like we've had in the past. Changing coaches may not be more than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. If some coach comes in and tells us we're headed to championships, I for one am not drinking that cool aid. It's not ever happening but again, it'd be nice every other year or so, to make the dance.

You shouldn't feel sorry for him. He made it to the dance 1 time in 12 seasons. You would be fired if you were successful one month out of the year. If Bianco can't get to Omaha this year he probably needs to go too.

Well they had fancy $$$ stadiums and they sure haven't helped us win! We're kinda the Charlie the Tuna when it comes to BB and Baseball. AK will have another gig in 90 days or less. Bianco could get another in a flash as well. Musical chairs.

Funny you'd ask abut Mardi Gras. I was texting an old buddy yest who is in San Salvador and we were recalling train trips to Mardi Gras. We 'd board the train in Batesville back then. Once the bar card ran dry before jackson and the conductor announced he'd hold the train 10 minutes so folks could hit the liquor store next to the train station in Jackson. Back then it arrived in N.O about 12:30 and you could hit the streets till daylight and come back to the train and sleep as it didn't go back til 3 in the afternoon. I doubt any parades in Oxford as they are so anti open container which is prob good but seems they could make an exception now and then.

I heard that he blasted the team in the interview postgame. Said they embarrassed him, Ole Miss, their families and themselves. It was truly a crappy game which I terminated prior to the end.

I don't think it was one bad season that did AK in - it was the multiple seasons of not making the big dance. No one expected national basketball titles from him, but you have to admit he seemed to have reached his ceiling at Ole Miss. Could the next guy be a flop? With this administration that is certainly a possibility. He may not be as good as AK or a noticeable improvement, but he will be different. If what you're doing is not yielding the desired results then something has to change and that is usually the HC (even if it isn't fair).
