I have a question on the Music Bowl

I only watched the end as my stomach won't take much, but towards end of the game, state scored and got a call of unsportsmanlike conduct. They proceeded to kick that standard PAT then was penalized on the following kickoff. Was that different for EM's call at the Egg Bowl? The penalties were assessed differently but I was seeing unsportsmanlike conduct as being equal albeit I didnt recall the exact violation on stage. All things consider, EM is my new favorite player.
