To open it up a bit and remove MSU hate bias, would you trade a 1 and done elite rushing QB that could overcome a late season injured O-Line, for Shea Patterson.
Instead of Dak, what if you could have a Tim Tebow, Vince Young, or Cam Newton going into this season?
Personally that would be a tough decision but I would still keep Shea. Yes a National Championship would be the highest of high points but it still is never a guarantee. Shea, might not be a guarantee either but after looking at the work he has put in for our program, recruiting, wearing our logo, etc…there is an X factor with loyalty. His confidence seems to be attracting players to look at OM as an opportunity to do something special and do it consistently. I guess I would rather take a high chance of being consistently competitive for 6 years than make it to the top and immediately fall right back to mediocre.
All that being said, this is merely a fun debate based on "what if's"
