The article Neal linked in 10 Thoughts has a telling statement. The article is discussing Mississippian's willingness to leave the state but has a telling statement from LT Governor Tate Reeves.
From the article,
"While the brain drain has been documented through data from the U.S. Census, the IRS and other government agencies, some state leaders deny the phenomenon. Most notably, Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves has stated that he believes the data to be exaggerated."
As a former Mississippian, this article briefly touches some critical factors facing Mississippi in the years to come. It saddens me to see yet another elected official deny key data and refuse to address a key issue facing the state.
I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts.
