Patterson is not yet cleared to play next year for MI. How is that? Others (not graduated players) have been cleared to play elsewhere and why would he go somewhere and sit for a year? He must have want out at any cost. I truly hope he CAN play. He brought us a bunch of talent and I'm grateful. As I've stated before, Jordan is so good it may have caused more disruption that we need. We already have a sufficiency imho.

Only players who are going to be seniors this coming year are cleared. Everyone else has to go through the special waiver like i said a month ago, These may not be responded to for months yet and there isn't really any precedence that allows these guys to play. The releases you are referring to are the ones we gave them, not the NCAA.

They are released by Ole Miss and are free to transfer where ever they want to. This doesn't mean the NCAA has waived the 1 year penalty of sitting for transferring

FWIW. Heard on GC forum that Shane Matthews said this on his radio show on WRUF. Then the same poster said he couldn't verify it from any other source. strange.. So could be fake news or could be Matthews wasn't supposed to say anything yet. who knows.
