Bama fans will disagree but I think it's good to have parity in the SEC. We probably do in the West if Bama is not included. The SEC East is much easier. Tennessee would finish 4th in the West this year and only have 3 losable SEC games on their schedule. Smart will have Georgia competing. I think McElwain is in over his head at Florida.

I think some parity in the SEC is already present, in that upsets happen regularly due to the Top to Bottom high quality teams, and on a week to week basis, any team can potentially win. However......

If we look at all of this bad PR around Ole Miss, and listen to the media trying to villify us, one has to think that not everyone, and in fact hardly anyone, wants any team to up end The Tide as reigning king, especially a school with a checkered history such as Ole Miss.

Beating Alabama back to back, going to New Years Six back to back, recruiting 4 and 5 stars outside MS state lines.....all that is great, assuming we understand we are upsetting the traditional apple cart.....and there are lots of powers that be that do not want to see that happen.

This negative stuff shall pass, and we are going to continue to rattle some chains with the caliber of team we are putting on the field.

The point is, we are to some degree victims of our own success, due to "the system" that exists. Parity may be something we are on the cutting edge of in the SECW.....we just have to be prepared for the backlash.

You get the backlash because you cheat. Missouri won the East 2 years in a row and not a soul accused them of cheating.

Everybody cheats.....everybody. Some schools are better at keeping it quiet. My point was that schools like Ole Miss or Mizzou get raked over the coals.....guaranteed it wouldn't be nearly the Hubbub if it was Bama, Florida, or even LSU.
