It seemed we played a lot tighter coverage last night, especially by Webster and Bridges. I am not faulting them for the last few weeks, I am faulting how we practiced. The announcers said Freeze emphasized tougher play was during the week's practices and if that is so, it really showed off in spades. Clearly their QB could be an intramural starter last night, but had he gotten the throws off, they would have been contested. Hopefully, the games of super loose coverage are over.
If we win out, we win the west. As a pissy side note, we have to learn to make plays on third and short - open up passing options.. We get manhandled on third down and short yards to gain when we run far, far too often.
