I apologize if this has already been posted as I have been out of the country, but I consider the acquisition of that property, which is contiguous to the main campus, by Ole Miss to be great news! In fact, I always thought it would be ideal if Ole Miss could somehow obtain that property.
I understand that Scruggs House will become the new Chancellor’s Home and then you can combine the Carrier Property and the Dunbar Property for expansion of the University, which I think is about 25-30 acres-just guessing there, but you could build a lot of housing over there.
We have been talking about infrastructure needs a lot on RG lately. This move here shows me that Ole Miss is doing more than just talking. Once again, I am impressed by Boyce, he gets it and acts. The difference in him and Vitter, or even Jones, who I liked, is night and day.
