"Five-star quarterback Shea Patterson elected to take part in the competition and the Ole Miss commitment said it's a great way to kick off a weekend of tight competition. But more importantly for Rebel fans, it's another chance for Patterson to bond with his future teammates. His Throroughbreads squad is loaded with talent, including fellow Ole Miss commits Octavious Cooley, Daniel Crowell and DeKaylin Metcalf, all players who will be catching passes from Patterson in college. Patterson said he'll do some more recruiting at the event and with teams from all over the country in attendance, he hopes to meet some talent he can help recruit to join him in Oxford."
Patterson told media in Oxford for the elite camp he really likes throwing with Cooley. There's a bit of a connection there. And it can't hurt for this core group to go ahead and start getting reps together and becoming more familiar with each other. They are all getting to play together in a competitive environment and begin the process of working on timing with each other. It's a good thing for Ole Miss.
