Glad to get win on the road. Did a lot of good things, starting with road defense, pressure on defense, moving the ball and running the ball. Played really hard. Physical throughout the game. Thought had some red-zone issues. Dart took his helmet off, offensive PI, which was a horrible call that slowed us down, and defensive penalties were extremely costly. Things to work on but a lot of good in the game.

Both Lane and Monte Kiffin are now both 1-0 at Wake Forest. Kiffin didn’t know that going in but he thought it was really cool. Kind of hit him after the game when Ryan McGee told him. Was touched someone thought of that and his brother and sister were there and none knew it. “That’s pretty neat.”

Bad center snap was a big surprise. McIntyre has a lot of experience. Dart didn’t recover it very well. That was costly. First fumble loss since the opener of last season. That was an outlier.

It’s only what you do in that game. Dart got too lackadaisical. Kiffin could feel it as soon as he started scrambling left. Kiffin could feel he was about to force it. He said he’s glad he got it out of the way because it was “really, really bad.”

Kiffin said Ivey “wasn’t as bad as it looked as far as the cart being needed. That’s about all I’ve got for you.”
