Leadership: be stubborn on your core beliefs....

But here are a list of things that shouldn't be core beliefs:

  1. My coaching staff is part of my family, you don't fire family.
  2. Any good football team should be able to pick up 1 yard running the ball, so regardless of the quality of my line, OL coach or RBs I will do it?
  3. Running a college program is all about recruiting, even game day decisions - if I have to tell defensive players they will get run the ball - I will do it.
  4. Going by my gut is what got me here. If a higher power speaks to me to go for it on my own 30 - then I'm going for it.
  5. The redzone is too crowded to pass, you HAVE to be able to run the ball, and a little trickeration doesn't hurt. They won't notice the different personnel.
