he WILL be a soph next year won't be? I had some friend try to tell me that even though he played in 1 game last year he redshirted. I had to bs that idea. I recall him getting tossed from the sidelines in one infraction. Regarless, looking fed to bigtime production from him soon.

We are absolutely stacked at receiver. There is a chance we could redshirt every receiver we signed yesterday. Jefferson and Lodge are as good as any guy we signed yesterday and they have been in the system one year. Add them to Pack, String, and Adeboyego, and no one comes close to matching us. That isn't even counting D. Jones or Bledsoe

Freeze stated that Tariqious Tisdale may possibly be a middle linebacker at 6-5 247. He's supposed to run in the 4.6 range.

Lodge I think will be redshirt freshman. l believe the declaration can be after 3 games...regarding redshirt rules? Anyone confirm this?

Lodge is a sophomore. He refused the redshirt even though the staff basically begged him.

Dude over half those linebackers you listed are walk ons....not sure how you can be optimistic about that. Pure example of not addressing needs in recruiting for 3 years in a row

By today's rules if you play one play you lose your redshirt.

Ok first, we only play with 2 linebackers on the field at a time. Smith, Curtis, Caldwell, Gates, and Strong Give you a two deep with one to rotate through behind them. Add Evans and Tisdale to that and you are three deep with one to rotate. How many linebackers do you need in a defense that only runs with 2?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Connor and Z Woods playing a little at linebacker.

That's what their position basically is. The only difference is we put a smaller more athletic guy in that outside linebacker position that can cover receivers aswell. They might get pushed a little when run straight at but they also have to speed to slip around blocks too.

Marquis Haynes drops into coverage and plays standing up quite a bit. A de facto linebacker at times depending on the defense.

Yep, and when he does so it transforms our defense into a 3-4 or a 3-3-5 depending on where the safeties are. People are worried about this class cause they remember the days of us missing on a recruit and it hurting us badly. We have DE's and DTs and LB's on a 3 deep returning. The days of us recruiting starters is almost at an end. The only players i see starting out of this group is Little. A few others will contribute but most won't see the field.

Why isn't Gross a candidate at lb? Great ability, speed and experience. We have many to groom on the line along with vets.
