was the top get during the recruiting season
I just checked, Ole Miss landed a grand total of ONE recruit in the Rivals 250.
We're a long way from the 2013 class, aren't we?
I have to agree with Pratt. I however do not agree the recruiting competition this year. I cannot wait to see the Air Raid back in the SEC. I think with Patterson it will be more fun to watch than it was at Kentucky.
Defense I have no idea.
There really going to be hacked when they find out in the Air Raid there are very few called runs. There are about 10 plays and multiple formations and a run option on each formation. If the QB thinks a run will work he calls the run play at the line of scrimmage. Typically is most Air Raid offences the only calls 1 or 2 running plays a game.

Your defense will be garbage if you move to a quick-strike, passing-based offense. It always is, that's why championship-level teams never run that crap, and typically run balanced, ball-control offenses.
Here's why: A quick strike, passing offense, whether you call it Air Raid like Kentucky did or Fun N Gun like Spurrier did puts hellacious pressure on the defense. Because the offense never spends much time on the field. They either have a 3 and out, or they score. That means the defense is spending far too much time on the field, and they will be gassed by the end of the game. Which makes it easier for the opposing offense to score, so basically the game becomes a shootout against a bad defense. If the opponent has even a good defense, your offense gets shut down and you're the one getting skunked.
Out of all those great Gator teams in the 1990s, they only had 1 NC to show for it. Because their defense was terrible every year.
On the other hand, the pro-set, balanced offense makes life much easier on the defense. The offense stays on the field more, the defense gets plenty of rest.
Well this is embarassing, but there is something to what heckler says
I actually timed some of our "possessions" last season
There were some instances when our offense was on the field for less than three minutes real time.......
But if you can't run the ball, and you have incompletions, the d is right back
A lot of issues on both sides of the can be traced to the lack of a running game
So now that I have the shame of agreeing with heckler, I will slink off in disgrace.
