I’m not sure how this will play out, and I’m sure they will try to finish the game, but it’s a really weird spot.

The Mets led 1-0 after the 8th. They started the 9th. The Marlins scored 2 to take the lead. Then it went into rain delay.

Both teams have games tomorrow night against other teams, so they have to finish tonight if they are going to finish it.

It’s that weird situation we had with Louisiana Tech in the midweek though where the game is an official game, but you have to go back to the last full inning, which would switch the game from a likely win for the Marlins to a loss.

That wouldn’t be a huge deal if not for the fact that the Marlins are neck and neck in the wild card race down the stretch.

No clue how this will play, but if they don’t finish, that’ll be a wild story in the final week of the season.
