After viewing the extensive media coverage of hurricane Katrina 5 years later, I'm so grateful we in Mississippi didn't get hit by that storm.
At least the media can locate New Orleans on a map. I have my doubts that these talking heads even know where Mississippi is.....but I AM attempting to educate them. In Mississippi....

*** near total destruction along highway 90
*** 28 foot storm surge
*** 55 foot waves
*** 125 billion in damages
*** flooding up to 12 miles inland
*** town of Waveland washed away
*** wind gust up to 135 MPH
