In this mornings article Miller commented that teams, like Vandy, will play cover two when they think the QB will not scramble on them. I have seen many times that the receivers were not there and Kelly could have scrambled and got some good yardage yet he didn't. In fact, it looks like Kelly often thinks about running but at the last second he remembers he is not supposed to and throws a low percentage pass. I think he has been told not to scramble. If he has it makes no sense because the dude has some wheels. If he hasn't been told that and Kelly himself will not scramble for some reason then that still comes back on the coaches. I want a QB to stand in there as long as possible but when the pressure is on, nothing is open, and there is an escape route for positive yards then do it. That threat has to be there to keep defenses honest.
