I was always told by my folks that most towns in Mississippi were always hell bent on keeping out of state businesses out. It was great for a while but now those towns are drying up and you can see the towns that embraced business are booming to this day.
Now that I have moved into my career, I deal with out of state people every day and when I talk to them they always say that their was an air of smugness when it came to business in Mississippi from their side of the table. I guess we viewed it as protecting our own while they viewed it as smugness.
So bottom line, is it true? Can you debunk that statement? I am genuinely curious.
