The Draft has come and gone. Here's a quick rundown of what I'm thinking -- much of it is pretty obvious.

Ryan Rolison is obviously signing with the Colorado Rockies. The signing bonus is about $3 million for that slot and I expect him to basically get the slot amount.

Brady Feigl and Nick Fortes are the other no-brainers when it comes signing. Two excellent people who made the Ole Miss baseball program better in all ways.

Parker Caracci released this statement and will obviously return. He would have gone higher if he were open to it.

James McArthur was taken in the 12th round, and I expect him to go, though I haven't heard or seen a decision yet. Even though he's outside the 10th round he's a prime candidate to get some of the money saved from senior signs or below-slot picks in the earlier rounds. A decision could be made in 5 minutes or it could take a bit to see how the money shakes out around his pick.

Early word I'm hearing on Ryan Olenek -- a 17th round pick -- is that he's coming back. I haven't talked to Ryan personally, but it is the word going around pretty strongly though. He was taken as a pitcher, and it probably all comes down to whether he wants to come back to school or not. The money is unlikely to be an amount that plays a huge role in it. I'd expect a pretty quick decision either way.

Kaleb Hill, the left-handed pitcher from Arkansas, should be at Ole Miss. He would have been taken much higher if his number was in the six figures.

JUCO arm Zack Phillips, who I like a lot, turned down overtures on the second day, and he will be on campus soon.

Gunnar Hoglund will sign after getting drafted 36th overall. That one stung for Ole Miss because the Rebels did a great job of scouting him way before he starting blowing up and gained some velocity.

I talked a little about Joe Gray the other day. Draft mechanics say the deal will get done since he was taken 60th overall. I still believe that. The Brewers indicated to him they could get above slot and get very close to his number. Negotiations haven't taken place yet. He gave these quotes in the last 36 hours.

"I'm going to deal with the consequences with the path I choose," Gray said. "If it works out, so be it. I took my chance and I told them, 'Yeah.' Me and (my advisor) had a talk earlier about knowing your worth. Don't take this so personal with the selection and the number. Obviously, if a team is willing to spend a million dollars on a kid, they obviously like you. There's still respect there. Either we open the number up or we don't. Either we stick there or we open it up and that's all your decision. His job is to tell me the good, the bad and the ugly, and I'm the man who makes the decision about it."

“Hopefully, we go about this right,” Gray said. “I just have a decision to make about whether I’m going to go to Ole Miss or go to professional ball. That is still open. It’s very tough. I’m catching heat about it on Twitter.”
