I saw Chase had a thread too. I didn't read it so it wouldn't influence mine. I just posted a photo gallery and will have a story to you in a bit. Chase will have a story on Fahn Cooper and I'll have one on Markell Pack in the coming couple of days. Our next access (no practice access) is Friday.
-- The left side of Ole Miss' defensive line (Robert Nkemdiche and Fadol Brown) is really difficult to block. I felt for Justin Bell trying to handle Nkemdiche in one-on-ones. Nkemdiche is just so quick and low to the ground out of his stance.
-- Aaron Morris moved well. He'll go through team stuff later in the week, but it appeared he passed today's test.
-- Robert Conyers appears to have won the center job, at least for now. He took all the No. 1 reps I saw today.
-- Laremy Tunsil dominated Marquis Haynes in a couple of one-on-ones. Tough sledding for Haynes having to face that guy every day.
-- Hugh Freeze praised Breeland Speaks today. Speaks has really gotten big and transformed his body. Another year in the program will do wonders for him.
-- Ole Miss did some drills with Jaylen Walton at wildcat and then ran at least one play out of that formation during team drills. I would imagine it's just a wrinkle they want to see on film.
-- I continue to be impressed by Damore'ea Stringfellow. At one point, looking through a camera lens, I thought he was Laquon Treadwell.
-- Along those lines, former Washington and UCLA coach Rick Neuheisal was at Ole Miss' practice today. He was commenting about how he couldn't believe how well Treadwell was moving. He mentioned he had seen Stringfellow years ago at one of his camps. Stringfellow began his career at Washington.
-- Jordan Wilkins appeared to have a couple of nice runs Tuesday. Akeem Judd, Freeze said, had a stellar performance at Saturday's scrimmage. Freeze said the running game is improved.
-- To me, based on one day and nothing more, Chad Kelly is Ole Miss' best quarterback. He's got a strong arm, seems to have good instincts and is accurate. DeVante Kincade still bails on his progression too fast, in my opinion. I didn't see a lot of Ryan Buchanan today. Again, it's one day, and I'm just a sports writer.
