My sons and I went to this game last night and sat 12 rows from the floor. The length/athleticism of NBA players seeing it from that close is unreal. The NBA gets alot of criticism, and much of it is warranted, but they are freakish good athletically.
We sat next to an 18 yr old young man and his mom, who currently live in Australia. He is in the states for the first time and his favorite teams are the NOLA franchises. I am a Celtics fan since the 80s, but this young man treated the game like it was Game 7 of the NBA Finals. It was fantastic to see his reaction to every basket made by the Pels. I almost wanted the Pels to win for his sake and I told him such. I realize we take so much for granted living in the US. Most people are nor more than two hours from an NBA arena or NFL stadium. He said to watch the Saints in Australia for a noon kickoff here, he has to turn the TV on at 3:00 AM.
One final note: the PA announcer before the game asked the NOLA crowd.......ARE YOU READY......Well yall know how my sons and I have answered that.
