doesn’t Pass the smell test. If a law was passed to not only outlaw assault rifles but all guns just how long would it be before there were no guns. One hundred, two hundred years maybe. This is a knee jerk emotional response that will have zero affect on school violence. If not guns, it will be something even more deadly an destructive. Schools must be secured and the way you do that is to limit access. I’m not just talking about having to report to the principals office. Build a fence around every school and have a check point with metal detectors and bomb sniffing dogs if that’s what it takes. I don’t own an assault weapon and don’t think anyone else should either but if you think outlawing them will cure the problem then your just wrong. Stop blaming Trump or even the Democrats and do something real to stop the school killings.
