A few houses down across the street from me is zoned for single-family housing and the owner of the land is wanting it re-zoned for multi-family housing. It's about 7 acres of woods right now. The land was just inherited by a lawyer in town who has plans to build low-income housing in the form of duplexes. My wife and I are about to have our first child and we obviously don't want the low-income housing essentially across the street. It's on the agenda for the July 7th city council meeting here in town. Obviously my neighbors and I are planning to attend the meeting but I need some good arguments against the re-zoning. What do you have for me?? Thanks.
