Southern Miss: Per source, former Southern Miss assistant head coach / director of player personnel Steve Buckley has accepted the head coaching job at Olive Branch High School (MS). Buckley coached at Southern Miss over three stints since 1987 and stepped down in May 2014. In addition, Buckley has hired former Coffeyville CC (KS) defensive coordinator Mitchell Pate as his defensive coordinator and former Coffeyville CC offensive line coach Will Peagler as offensive coordinator / offensive line coach.
