Cal fan/alum here. I see little or no discussion of this Saturday's Cal game here, so my assumption is that most of the posting activity at this particular site is on your subscription board (The Grove?). That is how Rivals' Cal Board (Golden Bear Reports) operates as well.

Anyone here traveling to Berkeley for the game? Cal fans are expecting a pretty competitive game.

All due respect to you friend, but many of our fans are really put off by the stuff that goes on out there. There will be some make the trip, but not many.

California put Mississippi on a no travel list, so some are returning the favor.

Some fear having to deal with a bunch of protestors.

Who needs it?

Just some the things I hear and read. I am sure we have some fans that don't feel that way, just not many.

Full disclosure, this is the first road game we have missed in many years.

No offense but our 5 couple entourage opted out after the incident over a speaker not in tune with liberal views this past spring. No need to subject ourselves to harm but we will watch on tv and hope all goes well outside the stadium as well as inside. We looked forward to this game for a couple years but common sense say stay home.

I use to moderate this board and keep the rif raf off. Now it is what it is. I always welcomed opposing fans as long as they were respectful. You're more than welcome here IMO. Rebel fans who act like asses should be ashamed. Some State fans try to pretend to be Rebels and try to embarrass us. State fans are truly nuts. As for the game, I expect a high scoring game and will be more than happy to leave with a one point win. I hope you can make the trip to Oxford when we play here. You'll find us very hospitable. I'll be tasting your wines till Thursday.

Interesting match. Both teams have exciting offenses (you may have the edge based upon balance). Neither team has played sound defense. Should be a high-scoring affair decided by turnovers and/or special teams. Looking forward to playing a quality opponent from the west coast!
