we're about to find out 2 of 3 things.

1) Conner is everything I've always thought he was (really need a special athlete like him to run this "D")
2) A.J. is special also, and we now have exceptional talent at a very important position in our defensive scheme
3) A.J., while possibly very good, not quite good enuf to fill in for Conner - may be just a little too small??

#1 is a given. The guy is just out of this world. I think, a tougher Eric Berry (just not quite the ball hawk).
#3 has me concerned. If it is #3 the "answer", then very hopeful the LB's and safeties can give a little "extra" help to A.J. LSU can absolutely hurt us if we don't have Tony. Florida could have a little success running the ball, but just not enuf weapons everywhere else. Arky can't score enuf, so no worries. Really want Tony back to "thump" Dakota as much as possible in Starkanistan...whenever Mr. Calves decides to run the ball.

aTm is a different beast, so I really like the versatility Tony provides in a game like that. Maybe too much to hope that he's back and really healthy for that game...as I don't want him playing unless he's absolutely ready to go.

Any other thoughts or concerns with Tony out?

Note: Did NOT use "stud" to describe any players in this thread!!! Don't want any panties wadding up, so to speak...
