Don't know that I ever saw a game where I didn't have a drink before during and after, but the idea of promoting it, when for the 50+ years I've attended, the police removed the drinkers is a bit troubling. It's a sign of lack of $$$ first off and a willingness to lower your standards second. This is NOT to be sure we have a good time despite being drubbed by a directional school at home. There is a risk reward here and I am skeptical.

Your statements would be true if it were just Ole Miss allowing alcohol. It's across the SEC so it really doesn't have much to do with the money or having a good time even when drubbed. It's about what is socially accepted today and moving out of the stone age.

Selling beer is safer than the stuff they are bringing in. The people sitting in front of me get plastered every game. We drink beer at bowl games. There will be beer at the Memphis game.

Yeah I understand your monkey see monkey do theory. There will be an increase in problems, just saying'.

It is just like what Ranch is saying. How much bourbon is snuck into the Vaught in a plastic bag? They cannot keep 60+ thousand people from bringing stuff into the stadium. For an interesting side note on the subject look up the history of Guinness. It was conceived to keep the Irish from drinking too much whiskey.

Of course it is and will still be as it is easier to carry in. It's already pretty hypocritical that the wealthy in the boxes have it flowing and the cops are searching ladies purses in the peanut gallery. Why not just add a surcharge to a season ticket for the privilege "to carry" in?

We are not a drinkers, so it’s a non issue to us.......and as long as people behave themselves, it’s ok with us...

As to the hypocrisy...it is alive and well.....we sit in the south club and folks are openly mixing drinks in the locker area....

We are always advised as to when the lockers are open for
“servicing “.....

Ole Miss code for bringing in your bourbon on Friday.....

Hey, one day they'll be selling pre-rolled AND roll your own in VHS. I agree, just behave yourselves, somewhat anyway.

They will need to sell liquor after Memphis St drills our punk ass...

Luke gone yet???

Geeze WTF are we thinking....

Prob not Htown, as usual, but stranger things have happened. We long suffering fans have to see it play out.

I don't think I'm going to live for another 50 years. My great great grand children may have to fill me in when they get to heaven...

I knew a guy that was a deputy on the LACounty Sheriff’s department back in the day. He said that he got to work all kinds of concerts. There is some outdoor arena that sits over 10k shaped like a large bowl where a lot of big time acts perform. He described a Pink Floyd concert there as having a giant green cloud sitting over the bowl. You didn’t need to be burning to get high, just breathe in deep.
