Where is our BIG defense???
We need to create a BIG Defense to stop the run...
I would go to a 4-3 -4 against the run oriented ball clubs like LSU and Arkansas.
Front line of Nkemdiche, Speeks, Jones, Brown with Ward, CJ, Haynes @ LB.
Let D Nkemdiche, Gates and Connor drop down into the box from Strong Safety when you want to put 8 in the box.
Or
Go to a 4-4 and go with the BiG Dline and go with Ward and CJ inside and go with Gates and Haynes outside.
We could even go to a 5-3 with a front line of Nkemdiche, Hamilton, Jones, Speaks, Brown and put Ward in the middle (Mike) LB with CJ and Haynes @ the Sam and Will outside LBs Gates, Nkemdiche and Russel could back them up.
I know this is wishful thinking, but it would be fun to see how much pressure we could put on the running game and even the passing game.
I know we have not recruited to field this kind of defense, we don't have the depth, but do have enough for the package given we need to stop the run.
