In response to the OP's question, I don't know about activities for Ole Miss fans, but the Ole Miss players apparently arrived in the Bay Area yesterday, and went on a tour of Alcatraz (today, I think). That means they got a good look at the Bay, the City and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Alcatraz was really cool. We went out there thinking that since we were that close, might as well go out there and spend a few minutes.

Ended up spending hours. Really interesting place.

Took the obligatory cable car ride, and went to the Ghiradelli Chocolate ice cream parlor.

Oh my.

I'm missing Del Lessio's (sp). Many a great deli in Bay Area, hard to go wrong.

I've always wondered. What is the preferred spelling, Ole Miss or Ol' Miss? Or is it something else?

There was something of a mini controversey a few years ago. The faculty, or at least some of them, got a little put out that there was too much emphasis on athletics. The nickname being ole miss rebels in sports, but ole miss also being the accepted name of the U

They were pushing university of Mississippi

Naturally, boosters, fans, alumni went crazy. Chancellor and A D had to put out a video making it clear that "ole miss" was not going anywhere

It pretty much blew over, but they try to use university of Mississippi when specifically referencing academics, but ole Miss is the national brand
