We have our Valpo and 4th and 25 games to live with the rest of our lives. We have our Halloween Night. Fact is it’s extremely hard for either one of us to win an SEC Championship, much less a National Championship. Two SEC teams to divide what little talent there is in our state will always be our yoke. When I was growing up I pulled for Ole Miss, Miss State, and Southern to win. There wasn’t the hatred back then that there is now.
Ole Miss fans know how State fans feel.

We don't feel the low self esteem as state does. The've turned that into mean spirited attacks to harm Ole Miss and our program. My feelings are beat the hell out of them at the game, then they become "mean' meaningless folks who likely don't even like themselves. TN, now there I can muster some hate.
I believe King Jackie had a hand in that. Is he a scum bag or what?
I think that’s when it got started. Growing up I listened to State and Ole Miss football. I listened to Babe McCarthy coached basketball games. The hatred is too deep now.
I hope the Rebel Rags lawsuit levels Jethro to coaching some junior college in northern Michigan.
This IMO it all started with Jackie Sherrill. Mullen escalated this into a war because he needed to build a persona that could unite the MSU Administration, Alumni, Students, Players, and Fans because they have always been jealous and hated Ole Miss.
