So I purposely stayed off the board until this morning because I knew what was coming after the game.

Many here did not disappoint. 😅

Look, I get it. It's been a long time since we lost when our starting QB played the whole game.

Don't know about you, but I, for one, was getting used to winning every week. Made life during the week a little more fun and enjoyable.

That game was decidedly... not fun. The final score looks worse than it was, but still... jeez... kind of embarrassing. We flat out got mud-stomped in the 2nd half.

We're going to catch hell from many in the media this week. Snarky comments. Little OM get's it's comeuppance. Crap like that. Some of it deserved, most not, but still... it will sting our pride and make the hurt... hurt even more.

Posting right after a game, especially a loss, is not a good idea because the emotions are running high:

Just about everyone sucks. Most of our coaches are obvious idiots and some need to get fired right now. Today. Don't wait for tomorrow. We are years away from competing with the big boys. WAOM rears it's ugly head again.

Calm down. It was one game. Hell, I was very comfortable that we were going to win. I wasn't nearly as concerned about LSU as I was against Auburn the week before for whatever reason.

That didn't turn out quite like I thought at all. Shame on me.

We are not Georgia or Bama yet. All teams lose eventually. Damn few ever go undefeated, especially in the SEC.

We're still a really good team, but when you play SEC teams on the road, you'd better play at or near your very best and we didn't come close to doing that yesterday.

There was a good chance this team was feeling kind of invincible. I'm sure the coaches warned them about that over and over, but you know, you can tell a kid not to touch the stove a thousand times and it goes through one ear and out the other. But one touch does the trick.

Now, this team has been burned. Will they learn from it?

We have a youngster at QB. He's played fairly well, but he hadn't really been bloodied yet. Now he has. It will be a learning experience for him and many others on the team.

We can still get to the top of the SEC, but now there's zero room for error. Honestly, I never thought this team was quite to that level, not with a kid at QB, but with luck and good health, anything can happen. Hell, I still don't really think we were a 10-2 team last year, but the record said we were... so we were.

I believe this team, when healthy, is more talented top-to-bottom than the last year's squad. But what it's lacking are the handful of upperclassmen studs that play at a high level virtually every week.

It's going to be okay. We have a great coach who I really believe will get us there. Might not be this season, but I'm committed to do my best to enjoy the ride regardless.
