First, I don't have anything independently confirmed. I'm working on it, obviously. However, it is going around LSU sources and the college baseball world that LSU has offered Mike Bianco its head coaching position. I've been told this independently by three different people -- two of which I trust in these situations a lot -- and Neal has been told this, also, by at least two other people. There may not be a contract on a desk, but I do believe Mike has the ability to verbally accept the job if he wants it. Again, not reporting because I don't have it independently confirmed, but the smoke could start a forest fire.
Bianco got back in town this afternoon and started player exit interviews.
Like we've said from the start, I have no idea if Mike will take it. I'm working on that part, too, but he's immensely quiet, professional and personal when it comes to this type of thing. But a lot of people I trust are saying he has the ability right now to say yes or no.
