I've looked the program up. I have a nephew that just isn't going to make it through school and such. I don't know what else to do. He actually WANTS to go to Camp Shelby. The little turd doesn't have a clue! But any way, it seems we are down to this. So he will be 16 in August. The program really only goes 6 months. What happens after that? They get their GED and then have to figure out what to do until they're on their own or what?
Side note or help. What happens when a kid decides he wants to quit school? I mean it's a solid no from me but what do you do when the kid just simply refuses to do. his work and is going to just flunk out? In all my years of working with behavior youth and running a boy's home I've only had one other kid that couldn't care less than this kid. We have all tried and unfortunately I just can't get through to this kid.
