I knew how "hated" Christian Laettner is/was amongst the Kentucky and North Carolina fan bases, but I didn't realize it was a national hatred.
Having said that, his career is unbelievable. There can't be more than a couple more accomplished college basketball players. He went to 4 straight final 4s, and finished with 2 straight titles.
Who is more accomplished? Kareem is the only other one coming to mind, but I'm sure I'm forgetting a few folks. Maybe Bill Russell and Bill Walton?
