Ok I know it's Bama week and all. But I was just told something by my sister that has me hotter than a firecracker! I'm trying not to overreact. So here is the story, I'll try to be as short as I can but want to be as detailed as possible.
So last Thursday, a week ago. My 12 year old nephew, Zach, got on the bus at my dad's house. So as he gets on the bus the driver tells Zach to come sit on the front seat so he could talk to him. The bus driver takes off and while driving tells Zach that two of the kids in the bus said that he wrote on the back of the seat. Zach said that he didn't. Well over the next 30 minutes during the bus route the driver keeps prodding Zach about the situation. Well about the time they get to the school the driver calls the other two kids to the front and tells them that Zach says they are lying and that he didn't write in the seat. So after still denying that he wrote on the seat the bus driver then declares to the entire bus, loudly, that Zach says everyone else on the bus is a liar and he is the only one telling the truth.
So he again tells Zach "why don't you just be honest," Zach again denys doing any wrong. At this point, the bus driver whips the bus over bringing it to an abrupt stop. Gets out of the seat and stands over Zach, who is still sitting in his seat and actually almost laying down in it. The bus driver stands over him pointing his finger in zach's face and screams, "why do you keep ****ing lying!" At the point Zach jumps up and screams back, "what the **** do you want to do?" The bus driver then butts his head against Zach's, not a head butt more of a nudge and then hollers at him to sit down and then shoves him into the seat. Zach stays in his seat and then gets off the bus at the school a few minutes later.
My sister met with the principal on Friday. The meeting resulted in Zach being suspended off the bus for a day. They then met again on Tuesday and really the only response was that yes the bus driver went over board. But again no disciplinary action. I just learned of this about 45 minutes ago. There is another meeting at 7:30 in the morning.
Am I wrong in telling sister that after a week of this shit show that I'm going with them in the morning and the only reason we will be making the meeting is to inform them that the next discussion will be mowing our attorney.
Now am I wrong in wanting to not only sue the ever living crap out of Simpson county schools but to press charges against the diver for assault? If an adult in the neighborhood did this to your kid you would, right? The Simpson county sheriff's department said you can't press criminal charges on a school employee. WTF? So you are telling me I haven't seen teachers thrown in jail for assault or sexual crimes?
BTW we know his is how it all happens because the bus has video and also had sound!
